Digital Content Quality & Faulty File Remedy
Digital Content Quality
& Faulty File Remedy
Every original clip art bundle sold on JUFUNG.SHOP is guaranteed by law to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and exactly as described. If a file you have purchased falls short of that standard, this page tells you precisely what we will do to put it right.
What the law guarantees about every file we sell
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content sold in the course of business must meet three independent legal standards. These standards apply to every PNG clip art bundle on JUFUNG.SHOP automatically, without any need for you to request them, and they cannot be excluded by contract.
Satisfactory quality
Every file must meet the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking into account how it was described and the price paid. For our PNG clip art bundles, this means the files must be properly rendered, free of corruption, complete, and of a resolution and quality consistent with their advertised use for crafting, printing, and design projects.
This standard applies to the file itself: its technical integrity, its visual fidelity, and the completeness of the bundle.
Fit for purpose
Every file must be fit for the purposes for which digital content of that kind is commonly supplied. Where a customer communicates a specific purpose to us before purchase, the file must also be fit for that purpose.
Our PNG bundles are sold for use in crafting, sublimation, Cricut and cutting machine projects, card making, planner design, print-on-demand apparel, and similar creative applications. Files that cannot be opened, rendered, or used in standard design software do not meet this standard.
As described
Every file must conform to the description given on the product listing at the point of sale. Every listing on JUFUNG.SHOP specifies the characters or motifs included in the bundle, the file format (PNG with transparent background), and the intended use cases. If the delivered files do not match that description in a material way, this standard is not met.
Examples of non-conformity with description include: a woodland animals bundle missing one of the advertised animal characters, or a file delivered in a format different from that stated in the listing.
This guarantee does not expire on download
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 statutory quality guarantee for digital content is independent of any cancellation window. It is not extinguished when you download your files, and it is not subject to the "all sales final" or "no refunds after download" provisions that may appear in a general refund policy.
If a downloaded file is faulty — corrupted, incomplete, or materially different from its description — the remedies set out on this page remain available to you regardless of when the fault is discovered, subject only to the general six-year limitation period under English law.
What counts as a faulty or non-conforming file
The following categories describe circumstances in which a file purchased from JUFUNG.SHOP fails to meet the statutory standards of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If your situation matches any of these descriptions, you are entitled to a remedy.
Corrupted or unreadable file
A file that cannot be opened in standard image software — including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Procreate, Affinity Designer, or any comparable application — is a faulty file. This includes PNG files that produce an error message on opening, display as a blank or entirely black canvas, or fail to load after multiple attempts across different devices or software.
Corruption can occur during the download process or as a result of a defect in the source file. In either case, we are responsible for delivering a working replacement.
Missing elements from the advertised bundle
Each product listing on JUFUNG.SHOP describes specifically which characters, motifs, or design elements are included. For example, the Cute Woodland Animals bundle specifies fox, bunny, raccoon, deer, and squirrel illustrations. The Whimsical Animal Duo bundle specifies paired fantasy characters. If any advertised element is absent from your downloaded bundle, this is a non-conformity with the listing description.
This includes situations where the number of individual files delivered is less than the number advertised, or where an element described in the product title or listing body is not present in any of the delivered files.
Wrong file format or format mismatch
All products on JUFUNG.SHOP are listed and sold as PNG files with transparent backgrounds. If the file you receive is in a different format (such as JPEG, BMP, TIFF, or any format other than PNG), or if a file presented as PNG does not include the transparent background stated in the product description, this is a non-conformity with the listing description and with the “as described” standard under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Visually defective or materially degraded file
A file that opens successfully but displays with significant visual defects — such as severe pixelation inconsistent with the advertised use, missing layers or portions of the illustration, incorrect colours that do not reflect the product image in the listing, or artefacts that render the file unusable for its stated purpose — does not meet the satisfactory quality standard.
Minor variations between on-screen previews and the delivered file that do not affect usability do not constitute a fault. The defect must be material enough to affect how a reasonable person would use the file for crafting, printing, or design.
Failed or incomplete download delivery
If your order confirmation was issued and payment cleared but your download link did not work, expired before you were able to use it, or delivered an empty or incomplete archive, this is a delivery failure. It does not constitute a fault in the file itself, but it has the same practical effect and we will treat it with the same urgency.
If you experience a failed delivery, please contact us at support@jufung.shop with your order number and we will regenerate your download link promptly.
File materially different from the listing description
If the illustration style, subject matter, or content of the delivered files is materially different from the product description or the preview images shown in the listing at the time of purchase — for example, if an entirely different set of characters is delivered rather than those depicted — this is a failure of the “as described” standard under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We make every effort to ensure our listings are accurate and that preview images faithfully represent the delivered files. If you encounter a discrepancy, please report it.
What does not constitute a faulty file
For clarity, the following circumstances do not constitute a fault under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or under this policy:
- A change of mind after a valid download has been completed, where the files meet their description and are free of defects.
- Difficulty using the files because of software that is not compatible with the PNG format — PNG is a widely supported, industry-standard format, and compatibility with a specific proprietary tool is not something we can guarantee unless expressly stated.
- A perceived difference in illustration style or aesthetic that is consistent with the preview images shown in the listing — artistic style is a subjective matter and our listings accurately represent the style of each bundle.
- A file that functions correctly but does not suit the customer's specific project after purchase, where the project requirements were not communicated to us before the order was placed.
- File size or resolution that falls within the range communicated on the product listing, even if the customer had a higher specification in mind.
How we put a faulty file right
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 sets out a specific order in which remedies must be offered for faulty digital content. We follow that hierarchy precisely. The process moves to the next stage only if the preceding remedy fails or is not possible.
Repair or Replacement
We will deliver a corrected replacement file or a repaired version of the faulty file. This is always the first remedy we offer, and in the vast majority of cases it resolves the matter completely. We will deliver the replacement within a reasonable time and without any cost or inconvenience to you.
First remedy — CRA 2015 s.43Price Reduction
If a repair or replacement is not possible, or if a replacement has been delivered and remains non-conforming, you are entitled to an appropriate reduction in the price you paid. The reduction reflects the extent to which the files fall short of the standard to which they are required to conform.
Second remedy — CRA 2015 s.44Full Refund
If neither a repair, replacement, nor a price reduction adequately compensates for the fault, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount you paid for the non-conforming product. The refund will be issued to your original payment method without undue delay.
Third remedy — CRA 2015 s.44(3)Important: You do not need to accept a repair or replacement if it cannot be provided within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you. If we are unable to deliver a working replacement promptly, you may request a price reduction or refund directly without waiting for a replacement attempt to fail.
We will never attempt to use a general “no refunds after download” provision to deny you any of the remedies above. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 take precedence over any such provision in our general Refund Policy.
If a fault in our digital content causes damage to your device or other digital content, and the damage could have been avoided had we used reasonable care and skill, you may also have the right to a repair of the damage or compensation. Please contact us to discuss this if you believe it applies to your situation.
How to report a faulty file and submit evidence
We have made the process of reporting a fault as straightforward as possible. Please follow the steps below to help us review and resolve your concern as quickly as possible.
To report a fault, please email support@jufung.shop with the subject line "Faulty File Report". You may also use the contact form at jufung.shop/pages/contact.
There is no fixed deadline for reporting a quality fault under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but we strongly encourage you to report a problem as soon as you discover it. Early reporting allows us to investigate effectively and resolve the matter promptly. Under English law, the general limitation period for contractual claims is six years from the date of purchase.
Please include the following information in your report:
-
1Your order number — found in your Shopify order confirmation email. It begins with a hash symbol followed by a number (e.g. #1234).
-
2The name of the product you purchased, and a description of the specific fault you have encountered.
-
3A screenshot or screen recording showing the fault. This could be an error message, a blank or corrupted file preview, or the application error displayed when you attempted to open the file.
-
4The software and device you used to open the file (for example: Canva on a Windows 11 PC, Procreate on an iPad, or Adobe Photoshop 2024 on a Mac). This helps us identify whether the issue is file-specific or environment-related.
-
5What remedy you would like — a replacement file, a price reduction, or a refund. We will do our best to accommodate your preference within the hierarchy set out on this page.
What to include in your report
What we guarantee in every file we deliver
These are the specific quality standards we apply to every PNG clip art bundle sold on JUFUNG.SHOP. They reflect both the statutory requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and our own commitment to delivering work we are proud to put our name on.
PNG format with transparent background
Every file delivered is a true PNG file with a fully transparent background, as stated in all product listings. The transparency allows you to place the illustrations directly onto any coloured surface, fabric, or substrate without a white or coloured border appearing around the artwork.
We do not deliver JPEG, BMP, or any other lossy or non-transparent format unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific product listing.
Complete bundle — all advertised elements present
Every bundle is checked before listing to confirm that all elements described in the product title and listing body are included in the delivered file set. For example:
- Cute Woodland Animals: fox, bunny, raccoon, deer, squirrel
- Magical Woodland Animals: the full set of fantasy-themed forest characters described in the listing
- Whimsical Animal Duo: the paired characters featured in the listing preview
If a new listing is added to the catalogue, the same completeness check applies before it is published.
Resolution suitable for stated use cases
Our files are prepared and tested at a resolution suitable for the use cases stated in each product listing, including sublimation printing, Cricut and cutting machine use, digital planner design, card making, and print-on-demand apparel. Files are original hand-drawn illustrations and are not upscaled or artificially enlarged from lower-resolution sources.
Accurate listing descriptions and preview images
Every product listing is reviewed to confirm that the title, description, and preview images accurately represent the files being sold. Preview images are generated from the actual delivered files, not from separate design mock-ups. We do not use stock imagery or third-party artwork to represent our products.
Where a listing is updated after purchase to correct an error, we will notify affected customers and offer the updated files at no additional cost.
Reliable digital delivery via Shopify
Downloads are hosted and delivered through Shopify's secure platform. Download links are generated automatically when payment clears and are accessible from your order confirmation email. If a link fails or expires before you have had a reasonable opportunity to download your files, we will regenerate access immediately upon request.
You are entitled to a reasonable period in which to access and download your purchased files. If you encounter any difficulty accessing your files after purchase, please contact us promptly.
Original hand-drawn illustration — not AI-generated
Every illustration on JUFUNG.SHOP is original artwork created by our studio. We do not sell AI-generated images, stock library clip art repackaged under our name, or third-party artwork. The artistic style, linework, and character design present in our listings are the same as those delivered in the files.
This is relevant to quality because it means there is no risk of the delivered artwork conflicting with another licence or of the style varying between the listing preview and the delivered file.
Implied warranty protections for US customers
If you are purchasing from the United States, the implied warranty protections available under the law of your state apply to your purchase alongside the quality standards described above. Although English law governs the primary contract, we will not use that governing-law clause to deprive you of mandatory protections available under your state's consumer law.
US commercial law recognises a set of implied warranties that apply to the sale of goods and, in many states, to the sale of digital products, unless they are explicitly and lawfully disclaimed. The most relevant are the implied warranty of merchantability (the product is fit for its ordinary purpose) and the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose (where the seller knows the buyer's specific intended use).
These warranties align closely with the UK statutory standards described on this page. In practice, this means that a US customer who purchases a PNG clip art bundle from JUFUNG.SHOP and receives a file that is corrupted, missing advertised elements, or unusable for crafting and design work is entitled to a remedy whether or not they invoke UK law specifically.
We honour equivalent implied warranty claims from US customers using the same remedy hierarchy: replacement or repair first, then a price reduction or refund if that is not possible.
The table on the right sets out how the most relevant state-level protections interact with your purchase. This is provided for information only and does not affect your right to seek independent legal advice about your specific situation.
To make a quality claim, US customers should follow the same reporting process described above: email support@jufung.shop with your order number, a description of the fault, and any supporting screenshots. We treat UK and US quality claims with the same urgency and the same remedy hierarchy.
| State / Framework | Relevant Implied Warranty Protection |
|---|---|
| All US states (UCC) | Uniform Commercial Code Art. 2 implied warranty of merchantability: digital files sold in the ordinary course of business must be fit for their ordinary purpose (i.e. usable by a reasonable buyer). |
| California | CA Civil Code § 1790 et seq. (Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act) provides implied warranty protections for consumer goods. Courts have applied this to digital products in certain circumstances. |
| New York | NY UCC § 2-314 (implied warranty of merchantability) applies to digital content sold in trade. Non-conforming files may entitle the buyer to revocation of acceptance and a refund. |
| Texas | Texas Business & Commerce Code § 2.314 mirrors UCC merchantability standards. A digital file that cannot be used for its stated purpose fails this warranty. |
| Florida | Florida UCC § 672.314 (implied warranty of merchantability) applies to goods sold in the ordinary course of business, including digital downloads in many Florida courts. |
| Washington | RCW 62A.2-314 (implied warranty of merchantability). Washington courts have recognised digital content as subject to UCC implied warranty provisions. |
| All states | Regardless of state, JUFUNG LTD honours equivalent quality claims from US customers using the same remedy hierarchy as UK customers: replacement first, then price reduction or refund. |
How this page relates to our general Refund Policy
The “no refunds after download” rule
Our general Refund Policy states that, because our products are delivered as digital downloads, we do not offer refunds or exchanges based on a change of mind once a download has been accessed. This provision exists because digital files cannot be returned in the way a physical product can.
This page overrides the general rule in fault situations
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 statutory guarantee described on this page exists independently of any general refund provision. In the event of a conflict between the general Refund Policy and this page, this page governs in all fault-related situations.
- If a file is corrupted, this page governs — you are entitled to a replacement or refund.
- If a file is missing advertised elements, this page governs — you are entitled to a corrected file or a remedy.
- If a file does not match its description, this page governs — you are entitled to a remedy.
- If a file is simply not to your taste and works correctly as described, the general Refund Policy applies and a refund is not available.
This distinction is required by English consumer law and we state it here explicitly so there is no ambiguity about your rights.
