Accessibility Statement
Built to be usable by everyone.
A small studio's honest account of how we design jufung.shop to be readable, navigable and workable for as many customers as possible — and where we still have work to do.
Last updated & effective: 14 August 2026A shop only works if everyone can shop in it
JUFUNG is a two-person illustration studio, not a large retailer, but we don't think that's a reason to treat accessibility as an afterthought. Every customer arrives at jufung.shop to do the same simple thing: look at a bundle, understand what's included, and buy it if it's right for them. We want that journey to work whether someone is browsing on a phone, navigating with a keyboard, using a screen reader, or simply prefers larger text and less motion on screen.
This statement is a plain, honest account of what we've built in, what standard we're aiming for, and where we know we still fall short. We treat it as a living page: as we improve the site, we update this statement to match, rather than leaving it to describe a version of the shop that no longer exists.
There's no legal accessibility requirement that currently applies to a business of our size, but we'd rather build good habits now than treat this as something to bolt on later.
What we've already put in place
These aren't aspirations — they're choices already built into the theme and pages you're reading right now.
Readable typography
Body copy is set in a clear, well-spaced typeface at a comfortable reading size, with generous line height. Headings use a distinct display face so the page's structure is easy to scan, not just decorative.
Checked colour contrast
Our text and background colour pairings — ink on parchment, cream on our darker sections — are chosen and checked for sufficient contrast, so body copy stays legible for customers with low vision or colour-vision differences.
Keyboard navigation
Links, buttons and form fields across our pages can be reached and activated using a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline so you can always see where you are on the page.
Motion you can turn down
If your device is set to reduce motion, our pages automatically switch off scroll animations, floating elements and transitions, and show all content immediately instead.
Responsive, zoom-friendly layout
Pages reflow cleanly from a large desktop screen down to a small phone, and text can be zoomed in your browser without content overlapping or becoming unreadable.
Descriptive links and labels
Buttons and links are written to describe where they go or what they do — "Shop this bundle", "Open in Google Maps" — rather than vague text like "click here", which is easier to follow with a screen reader.
Measuring ourselves against a real benchmark
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — the current international benchmark for web accessibility — as the yardstick we design and review against. We can't guarantee every page meets every success criterion at every moment, but it's the standard we hold ourselves to and keep working towards.
In practice, this means new pages and features are checked for things like colour contrast, keyboard operability, sensible heading structure, and descriptive text before they go live, and existing pages get revisited as we learn more or as tools improve.
Where we know we're not there yet
We'd rather tell you plainly what isn't perfect than claim a level of compliance we haven't verified.
Embedded Google Map
Our Find Us page includes an embedded Google Map showing our registered office. That embed is built and controlled by Google, not by us, so its accessibility is governed by Google's own standards rather than ours. We also provide the full address as plain text alongside it.
Checkout and payment
Once you proceed to pay, you're handed over to Shopify's own checkout system. We don't control its code or design, though Shopify builds and maintains it to widely used accessibility standards of its own.
Decorative animation on some pages
Pages like this one use scroll-triggered reveals and small ambient animations for visual character. These are automatically disabled if your device's reduced-motion setting is on, but we're aware they can still be a lot for some visitors if that setting isn't enabled, and we continue to look for ways to keep the visuals calmer by default.
Product preview images
Our product listing images are illustrated previews of each clip art bundle. We're working through adding clear, descriptive alt text to every product image across the catalogue, and any gaps you spot are genuinely useful for us to hear about.

If any part of jufung.shop is difficult to use because of a disability or access need, we want to know about it, and we'll do our best to fix it or find another way to help.
